HICAPS was hired as the Design-Build General Contractor to expand the kitchen and retail space at Cheesecakes by Alex in Greensboro, NC. This phased project included selective demolition and re-leveling of the existing floor and a new concrete entrance to expand into the adjacent space. The expansion also included new plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems as well as new kitchen equipment and hood, and furnishings. The renovation took place in a historical downtown building while the owner maintained a complete retail and kitchen operation. The 1,800 sft project was completed on time and within the $265,000 budget.
