Job Title: Project Engineer – MULTIPLE POSITIONS

Responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent in managing and directing the construction of HICAPS commercial, industrial, and institutional building(s), ensuring safety and quality programs are being executed according to the preparation and maintenance of construction safety documentation as well as managing the Tenant Improvement (TI) projects within the related HICAPS portfolio. Coordinates and maintains quality control documentation like the QCM Plan, testing logs, and other Quality Control reports as outlined by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Communicates with project team members, expediting, attending customer meetings and special projects to include research, statistical analysis and reporting. Assists Project Manager in managing the scope review process through drafting subcontracts and defining scope of work with compliance to all safety and quality control requirements, to include all related tasks, duties, limitations and project deliverables. Prepares Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling and program management schedules for both HICAPS as a customer and HICAPS as a service provider to other clients using scheduling software. Assists the Project Manager and Superintendent in the preparation of look ahead schedules. Assists Project Manager in negotiating change orders. Develops Property Condition Assessment (PCA) Reports and presentations. Assists Project Manager in preparation of Time Impact Analysis, and Delay-claim analysis. Manages the permits and certificate of occupancy with all governmental agencies and other requirements. Prepares agendas, documents, meeting minutes, and actions for above ceiling Mechanical- Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) coordination meetings, which may include using Building Information Modelling (BIM) files, and LEED v4.1 compliance. Assists project managers and estimators in the bid process, ensuring that all documents are complete and accurate.
Master’s or foreign degree equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or closely related engineering field plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered or similar engineering positions. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Products and Primavera P6.
National Travel Required (10% of time) for project site inspections.
