Air Tightness Testing / Air Barrier Consulting – SOF Armory Expansion

HICAPS reviewed air barrier design and prepared RFIs (requests for information) to be presented to the design team on behalf of the general contractor prior to construction. Air barrier installation inspections were performed during construction to confirm compliance with the project specifications, manufacturer’s instructions and industry best practices. Air tightness pressure testing and IR thermographic air leakage site detection were performed on the completed building shell in accordance with ASTM standards and the US Army Corps of Engineers Air Leakage Test Protocol for Building Envelopes.HICAPS also provided fundamental commissioning of HVAC, lightning controls and domestic hot water systems.
