HICAPS was the General Contractor for this Design-Bid-Build project at the Salisbury VAMC. The work consisted of the construction of a new Hospice Building that is approximately 19,000 sft. and when paired with the Long Term Care Facility the total cost of this project was approximately $8.8 Million. The scope of work for this project included clearing and grading, site utility work, concrete and steel, brick masonry, wood framing and trusses, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work along with elaborate interior millwork and finishes. The project includes 12 patient rooms, full service kitchen, dining facilities, sanctuary, and multiple visitor lounges. The Long Term Care Facility houses military veterans in the last years of their lives. This project was an ABC Merit award winning project.
