Dan is a graduate of The Citadel (The Military College of South Carolina) and has a Masters Degree from Clemson University. He served with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Europe and upon retirement worked with several well known Engineering and Construction Firms. While there he was responsible for the operations and scheduling department which generated and managed CPM construction schedules for heavy civil works, road/tunnels, high rises, hospitals, condominiums, educational facilities and banking centers. Dan founded HICAPS in 1985 and remains as President and CEO.

As President, Dan is responsible for company leadership, organization, marketing/sales and Construction Management operations of all company divisions. In this role he also maintains a solid, stable economic atmosphere to serve the Construction Management industry. Dan oversees and recommends project solution alternatives to owners, lenders, developers, designers and general contractors.


waynemcgeeRobert “Wayne” McGee
Vice President & Co-Founder

Wayne McGee has 26 years of experience in the Construction, Engineering and Communications industries. After receiving an Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design Technology at Guilford Technical Community College, Wayne co-founded HICAPS, Inc. in 1985 with partner Dan Hood. Wayne received his Commercial contractor’s license in 1998.

As Vice President, Wayne directs the public safety telecommunications group that focuses on providing tailored program management, RF engineering and construction services to major communications providers, vendors and end-user agencies. He provides marketing, sales and consultation on the development and implementation of highly technical, multifaceted system integration project. His corporate responsibilities include leadership, organization, finance and senior management support across all company divisions.



peytonfairbankPeyton S. Fairbank
Vice President & CM Director

Peyton Fairbank is a graduate The Citadel (The Military College of South Carolina). He served in the U S Army as an Air Defense Officer and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Desert Storm. Peyton joined HICAPS after retiring from the military with the rank of Captain and has been a principal with the company for over 10 years.

In his role as Vice President, Peyton is responsible for leadership, organization and management of the Construction Management Department. He oversees the development of new clients, allocation of company resources and all Construction Management and general contracting work. Peyton is responsible for development and implementation of all contracting and construction management procedures within the company as well as quality control.
